Cathy Safran

Cathy serves as the director of reinsurance, contracts and SIU for HM Insurance Group (HM) and is responsible for strategic partnerships, reinsurance, policy issuance, auditing and fraud reporting.

She joined the company in 1999 in the Finance – Reinsurance area. Throughout her career at HM, her responsibilities have increasingly expanded from a manager to a director. With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, Cathy’s areas of expertise include: Reinsurance Agreement (treaty) wording; Reinsurance administration, reporting, and auditing; and fraud investigation.

Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University. Additionally, Cathy currently chairs HM’s Corporate Giving Team.
