Eric Berg Named Chief Operating Officer of HM Insurance Group

Eric Berg has been named chief operating officer for HM Insurance Group. In this role, he is responsible for the executive oversight of all operational areas, the direction of strategic initiatives and the management of HM’s reinsurance and partner relationships.

“Eric has been a key contributor to our successes over the past several years,” said Mark Lawrence, president, HM Insurance Group. “His strong technical knowledge and ability to build relationships are important factors in our continued success.”  

Berg joined HM in 2021 from Everest Reinsurance Company where he had worked since 2012 as vice president of A&H Operations and Claims. Prior to his time at Everest Re, he was an associate at Riker Danzig, a law firm in Morristown, New Jersey, where he worked with a number of insurance and reinsurance companies advising on a wide variety of transactions, issues and disputes.

He is graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has a J.D. from Rutgers University Law School – Newark.
